The PTL 5002 has a fully galvanized chassis. This means that this record bank is insensitive to rust.
The two-place brake tester is equipped with a nylon running gear, which does not require grease or other lubrication. This makes the whole insensitive to dirt and moisture and therefore virtually maintenance-free. Furthermore, the plate bank is equipped with aluminum high-quality force sensors.
