Working at ANWB means working at a unique organisation. An organisation that has been at the heart of our society for over 135 years. That means you have to be able to innovate like no other. We do that with around 4,000 colleagues. Whether you are working at the Emergency Centre, organising holidays, marketing leisure products or developing a route app. You help build our future. You are important. And together we give meaning to the ANWB.
The work of the ‘Wegenwacht’ is about mobility and breakdown assistance. But a roadside assistance service is not only about cars. The work also touches drivers, people. Every year, the ANWB Wegenwacht solves 1,250,000 breakdowns. And every day throughout the Netherlands, an average of 250 roadside assistance officers are on standby to help people with starting, replacing batteries or tyres and many, many other technical inconveniences.
So if you want to work as a Wegenwacht, first of all, you have to have a lot of technical ability. But that’s certainly not all: you are also the support and refuge of people in need. You will regularly be the first on the scene of accidents and other stressful situations. So good social skills and stress-resistance are almost as important.
